OD in Practice - Masterclass - Fit for the Future
Tuesday, 18th September, 2018 9:30am to 4:30pm
Fit for the Future?
Organisational collaboration – shaping the future, changing behaviour
About the day
A practical exploration of the critical factors enabling organisations to adapt to the changing world of health and social care.
This one day workshop has been designed by the EMLA OD in Practice cohort in partnership with system leadership experts Frontline, to develop knowledge and skills in the leadership and management of organisations to adapt to the future demands of integrated care.
It aims to provide the balance between learning the theory and real-life practice in the workplace. Designed for those with a formal leadership/management role, the session is designed to empower people to make changes enabling organisations to meet future demands and to champion compassionate care for our region.
For the individual:
Learning to model change through the right leadership behaviours
Increased awareness of themselves and their abilities, enabling them to more clearly identify:
- Their strengths
- Their understanding of the context and how best to use this understanding
- How their behaviours might impact on others
Provide the confidence, capacity and motivation to implement change
For the organisation:
- Develop professional skills to draw on within the organisation compliment change
- Structured, evidence-based perspectives on decision-making which have a positive impact on future decision making
- Develop people with greater positive impact on future organisational culture
- Help leaders develop strategies to achieve change
- Develop some degree of challenge throughout the organisation to encourage ‘shift’
Who Should Attend?
The day is designed and delivered by the OD In Practice participants with support from the Frontline Team. We would like to open up attendance to other OD practitioners at all levels, as well as those who may not have ‘OD’ in their title but would like to take an OD approach to the work that they do.
This is an opportunity to not only support our OD In Practice cohort to develop their knowledge and skills in OD but also to extend the learning more widely across the East Midlands.
