The Impact of Gender in the NHS

Wednesday, 10th July, 2019 9:00am to 4:00pm

About the Gender Equality Forum

At our ‘Women in Leadership Engagement Event’ which took place in February it became clear that there was a real appetite across the region to bring men and women together to challenge gender inequality.

This had led the East Midlands Leadership Acadmey to launch the Gender Equality Forum. The aim is to create a community for sharing, providing support and to host events that challenge and champion the case for gender equality. The first event to be hosted by the forum is ‘The Impact of Gender in the NHS.’

Objectives of the event:

  • To challenge perspectives and explore how these can be changed
  • To provide support and techniques to tackle inappropriate behaviour.
  • To create a safe space where delegates of all genders can gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by others
  • To create a new forum that provides support, sharing of experiences and one that champions gender equality.

Who is it for?

This event is aimed at all leaders within health and social care across the East Midlands.
