Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
**Sorry, I am unable to accept any more coachees at this time.**
I have worked in the NHS for over 15 years. I have mainly worked in Community Trusts across Derbyshire and Staffordshire but did some short stints in NHS Commissioning (CCG & NHSE) and Virgin Care – I now work at University Hospital Derby and Burton supporting the Trust integration.
Throughout my NHS career I have always benefited from having a mentor or a coach to support my thinking and discussing challenges which sometimes can seem small but can become consuming in day to day living. I believe the thinking and reflection time can support career and personal development as it builds on self-awareness around strengths and areas of growth.
I qualified as a Coach in ILM Level 5 in 2017 and I decided to train as a Coach because a main purpose of my role is to support others with improvement and I wanted to learn the tools and techniques which could enhance the discussions. I am naturally a fire fighter who thrives on ‘fixing things’ but by applying the tools in a supportive, confidential and reflective session makes the interaction much more effective.
In addition to being a coach I am an MBTI (Myers Briggs) and TypeCoach practitioner, which is a tool that supports people to develop an insight in to their personalities. I have delivered this on a 1:1 session, but also to develop team dynamics for small and large groups.
I work full time and have a 2 year old daughter who helps me learn more about myself everyday! I am naturally an energetic character and really enjoy motivating others.
