General Managers Programme

The new General Managers Programme is designed to help support those who are new to, or aspiring to, general manager or equivalent posts by enhancing their skills in the leadership areas required for this level. Participants will also gain a better understanding of their current skill set and areas for development, along with a deeper awareness of the journey required to become a top leader in the NHS.

The programme is made up of a number of elements including: Coaching Sessions, Action Learning, Healthcare Leadership Model 360 feedback, Masterclasses and a Top Leader Q&A.

Masterclass topics will include:

  • Strategic insight / commercial acumen
  • Resilience
  • Engagement, Involvement and Motivation
  • Creating your own culture within a team

Who is it for?

All colleagues at band 7 and above who are either new to or aspiring to a general manager’s post or a post at an equivalent level.
